![]() People still play Super SFII Turbo to this day. How pants would that have been? They did do such a game, but instead decided to name it \'Super Street Fighter II Turbo\'.Īnd what an amazing game that was, since they had spent the past few games building upon something which was already excellent. Imagine if SFIII was released in 1994, re-used the SFII sprites, and just added a few characters and maybe gave some of the old fighters a couple new moves and stuff. They would almost certainly just re-use the Street Fighter IV assets (models, animation routines, etc). If they banged out SFV in a couple years, it would be the least distinct entry in the series, as it would borrow far too much of the technology from SFIV. The thing which has always signified and entirely \'new\' was a jump in technology. It\'s just a bit smoother and more refined and stuff. Street Fighter IV basically has the exact same gameplay Street Fighter II. There\'s a reason for this- the gameplay doesn\'t change much. Capcom have a long history of releasing a main Street Fighter instalment, and then gradually updating and refining that instalment for years afterwards before they do an entirely new Street Fighter. ![]() Take all these little things that would have gone into an update, add upon them and make it a sequel. Let that ride for at least a while, and instead of making another update (the home version kind of is an update already), announce SFV sometime next year, with a release date of maybe 2011. Nami said: The game is doing good right now. It\'s only a minor thing, and it\'s this sort of stuff that the very act of \'patching\' software was designed for. If Sagat truly does have an advantage over other characters, then I think they should sort it out with a tidy little patch. ![]() Sagat, or any other character in the game isn\'t no SF2 akuma. ![]() Nami said: Yeah, but the game itself isn\'t unbalanced. \'Lurch, it means hold back to charge the attack as normal, and then instead of just pressing forward and punch as normal, you press forward, back, forward and punch in very quick succession. ![]()
